We will contact all applicants within 48hours and if you have been successful in meeting the vacancy criteria, a consultant will conduct a telephone interview with you to discuss your experience and suitability for the position. If a successful telephone interview has been conducted, you will be invited into our offices to register and undertake a formal face-to-face interview with a Merit consultant (for senior positions this is likely to involve a 2nd interview with a Business Manager). These are conducted in private interview rooms and will give you the opportunity to present yourself and give us a clear idea of your requirements.

It is our job to ensure that you have the right to work in the UK as well as the correct qualifications and experience for the desired position, whilst being a good fit for the company in question. If you are suitable for a position we will assemble a detailed profile, compiling your key attributes and relevant experience to send to the client alongside your CV, so it is best to be as open with us as possible.

Deciding upon a permanent position requires commitment and we encourage you to think about your key strengths and attributes and give consideration to more than just the content of the job specification. Think about what types of organisations you have enjoyed working for in the past and any elements that have increased your work satisfaction in addition to the role itself. Do you feel comfortable in a large company or do you prefer a smaller more intimate work environment, and how important is the opportunity for progression, training and any benefits? Thought must also be given to how far you are willing to travel to work and if you do not drive whether you are able to use public transport and how this will affect your salary expectations.
